Samsung Galaxy Q ready to launch: another new android mobile

As the competition in the mobile phone industry getting tougher day by day, there are new phones in the market by each manufacturer to ensure that they are keeping up with the trends in the industry. As a part of this, Samsung is launching a new addition to their super success Galaxy series, Samsung Galaxy Q. The touch screen Android smart phone is GSM supporting currently and there are rumors about a CDMA version of Galaxy Q. Samsung Galaxy Q The phone has the smallest touch screen which is very handy and attractively designed. It is 3 inch in size and SUPERAMOLED and has a screen resolution of 720x480 pixels. The operating system that runs the Samsung Galaxy Q is Google android v2.2 Froyo accompanied by a 1 GHz Humming Bird processor. The phone supports QUAD BAND GSM 850/900/ 1800/1900 MHz and 3G network in HSDPA with a speed of 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA with a speed of 5.67 Mbps. There are two ports for data cables provided in the phone. One is the usual USB 2.0 port while the other is a rare mini HDMI port. As far as the rumors concerned it is heard that the Samsung designed the smart phone aiming to give the toughest combination to Black Berry who are the pioneers in the field of smart phones. Samsung Galaxy Q The standard Li-On 1500 mAh battery that powers Samsung Galaxy Q can provide up to seven hours and thirty minutes talk time and a stand by time up to 510 hours. The internal memory is the largest of ever heard with 16 GB storage and there is micro SD card slot that can support up to 32 GB external memory. So it is needless to say that the call records and contacts that the user can save are practically unlimited. The wireless connectivity settings are also the latest with a blue tooth v3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/ n. Then we come to the primary and secondary camera included separately for taking pictures and video calling. The 8 mega pixel primary camera with LED flash offers an excellent quality picture and the option of HD video recording is also there. The secondary camera is of 1.3 mega pixel which is exclusively designed for video calling. The dimensions of Samsung Galaxy Q are 120x68x9.25 mm and the weight is around 108 g. The front faced QWERTY key board and optical track pad ensures an easy and comfortable typing which will be very useful to avid texters. The global positioning system accompanied by maps is also a peculiarity of Galaxy Q. The phone supports MP3 ring tones and also has internal vibration alert. The price of the phone is expected to be 13,000 Indian rupees approximately. The launch time is yet to be revealed, but it will mostly be by June 2011.
