Last year in the month of October Samsung had launched the most affordable Android mobile phone i.e. Samsung Galaxy Y in the Indian Mobile market. Samsung Galaxy Y price is tagged approximately around Rs. 7,200. Samsung Galaxy Y runs on Android v2.3.5 gingerbread operating system. One can easily judge from Samsung Galaxy Y pictures that it is a smartly designed gadget, which comes with a sleek body design. Samsung Galaxy Y gives a perfect grip in the palm as it has a thickness of 11.5mm and weighs roughly around 97 grams. Samsung Mobiles have powered Samsung Galaxy Y with a standard Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery. The battery is quite capable of delivering a talk time of 17 hours and a standby time of 850 hours on 2G network whereas a talk time of 6.20 hours and a standby time of 540 hours on 3G network.
Samsung Galaxy Y sports a 3.0 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, which gives a resolution of 240 X 320 pixels along with 256K colors. The screen also portrays a pixel density of 133ppi. With the help of microSD card slot which is used in nightvision security camera, the user can expand the internal memory of Samsung Galaxy Y up to 32GB, which permits him to store plenty of songs, videos, games and other applications. Samsung Galaxy Y is loaded with connectivity features like GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The user can connect the mobile with computer or laptop as the gadget comes with a USB facility. Samsung Galaxy Y boasts a 2 megapixel camera, which allows the user to capture images at 1600 X 1200 pixels. One can also shoot videos at 15fps. Samsung Galaxy Y is outfitted with a power/lock button on the right and a volume rocker button on the left.
Samsung Galaxy Y features an in built stereo FM Radio with RDS technology. The gadget also supports multi format audio and video player. Some of the other Samsung Galaxy Y features comprises of accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, A-GPS support, SNS integration, image/video editor etc. Samsung Galaxy Y is pre-loaded with social networking applications like Facebook, Twitter and Gmail, which let the user to stay in touch with his/her friends and family members. Samsung had also launched two dual SIM versions of Samsung Galaxy Y i.e. Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, which is priced nearly around Rs. 8,499 and Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,336.
