Nokia Lumia 510 and Samsung Galaxy Ace have 5 MP Camera

Nokia mobiles has recently unveiled its new entry level smartphone named Nokia Lumia 510. The New Nokia Lumia 510 price happens to be in the same price bracket as that of Samsung Galaxy Ace price i.e. 11000 INR approx. Both the brands are giant in Indian mobile phone market so let’s check out how this fight between Nokia’s juvenile phone and Samsung mobiles old consistent performers turns out to be. Beginning with the dimensions Nokia Lumia 510 has dimensions 120.7x64.9x11.5mm &weighs 129 gms on the other hand Samsung Galaxy Ace has dimensions of 112.4x59.9x11.5mm & weighs 113 gms. Obviously Nokia’s device is a bit more bulky and bigger than the Samsung’s device. Nokia Lumia 510 has a 4 inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels which enables a screen pixel density of 233 ppi whereas Samsung galaxy Ace has 3.5 inch panel with 320 x 480 pixel resolution providing a pixel density of 165 ppi. So you will find more crisp output on Nokia’s smartphone.

Moving on to operating system Nokia Lumia 510 runs on Microsoft Windows 7.5 Mango which has a fresh and lively live tile interface against the highly functional Android 2.3.5. As far as the processing and graphic capability is concerned both the phones run on 800 MHz CPU and Adreno 200 GPU.  And for the RAM too both devices equalize each other with 256MB RAM. So seems like it’s a tie in terms of processing speed and graphic performance both. For the camera section both devices have 5MP auto focus camera and lack a front camera but Samsung’s smart phone features a LED flash as well while Nokia’s phone doesn’t. Both devices can generate VGA video clips. So it’s a kind of a tie in camera performance as well. While for mass storage Nokia’s device seems to lose out as it has a nice 4GB inbuilt storage but lacks expandability using micro SD card while Samsung Galaxy Ace reviews says that it has only 158MB internal storage but has micro SD card expandability of up to 32 GB(2GB included).
Samsung Galaxy Ace
For battery backup Nokia Lumia 510 comes with a 1300 mAh battery which provides standby time of Up to 739h(2G)/Up to 653h(3G) & talk-time of Up to 6 h15min(2G)/Up to8 h25 min(3G) against Samsung Galaxy Ace’s 1350 mAH battery with a standby time of Up to 640h(2G)/Up to420 h(3G) & talk-time of Up to 11 h(2G)/Up to6h30min (3G). Well Nokia seems to have an upper hand here. Final verdictis that both devices seems to be equally compelling in spec race. So if you want a rejuvenating Operating system and bigger and better screen go for Nokia Lumia 510 else if you are an Android fan, an app freak or can’t withstand only 4GB storage go for Samsung Galaxy Ace. Recently, Samsung Galaxy Y has received a minor software update which is currently available over-the-air.
